Updates on Lee - Friday, April 15 - 2200

Once again, sorry for the delay. We had a changing of the guard. Nanette is on her way home, and Gregg is observing, gathering info and listening to Hayley Westenra.

Today has been eventful. Lots of positive things to report, but in a nutshell:

1730 - CAT scan. This meant "driving" the air bed downstairs to where the procedure was to be done. Just after I arrived, the news came in: NOTHING REMARKABLE. This is doctor speak that everything pretty much looks normal. Wow!

2145 - RT comes in to suction. Nothing to report in his lungs. His numbers at this time: BP 121/40, HR 66, O2 input 45%, PEEP 8%, saturation is 95%. The ventilator is on Assist Control, which means when he starts to take a breath on his own, it will back off and assist.

RT says he has come a very long way, but as you all know, we are still in ICU, so there is more to accomplish. The progress is steady, and if there is anything we know about Lee, slow and steady is the way to success!
Their plan to start the "wake up" process will begin after the next Dialysis scheduled for Saturday morning @ 0800.

He looks calm, and part of the investigation now is to look for non-gray hairs in the new facial design.

Eternal Vigilance
